Former England cricketers are not sparing current players and the team management for the Ashes 2021-22 disaster. The visitors are 0-3 down with two Tests to go. Some of the game legends have demanded Joe Root and Chris Silverwood’s resignation as the two haven’t been able to inspire players.
Nick Compton has made another disclosure. According to him, Gary Kirsten was the front-runner to take up the job but was pipped by Silverwood in the final hour.
“Gary Kirsten was offered the England Job but was usurped by Silverwood in final hour because of a better PP presentation. It was a set up to appease Giles who didn’t want to be challenged. Since then he’s employed his mates to take on significant roles. Change is needed,” he wrote.
