Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden has joined the Gujarat Titans as their batting coach ahead of the IPL 2026. The veteran was one of the most explosive batters of his team and played for the Chennai Super Kings.

GT were looking to strengthen their batting unit before the new season, and they hired Hayden to improve the performance of their batters. Hayden, who is a World Cup winner, has vast experience in white-ball cricket.

We want to strengthen our team, and Hayden’s experience will shape our batting unit for the seasons ahead,” he said.
