Venkatesh Iyer vs Hardik Pandya
India have been blessed with many good players, and Venkatesh Iyer is one of them.

Madhya Pradesh suffered a big blow as their star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer has been ruled out of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after sustaining a fracture in his ankle.

The 27-year-old Indian star will miss out on the remainder of the tournament. Iyer updated the fans about his injury on social media and captained the post, “Gutted to be missing out on the remainder of the SMAT due to a broken ankle. Hope to be back on the field soon. Will be rooting for my MP boys from the sidelines. Keep the positive vibes going. Do keep sending your wishes and love.”

Madhya Pradesh currently sits fifth in Group A with two wins in four matches. Iyer started the tournament with a bang as he gathered 62 runs in the campaign opener against Rajasthan on October 11. He also contributed with the ball and picked a six-wicket haul to give MP a 38-run win.

The KKR star last played against Railways on October 16. After an impressive 2021 IPL, Iyer was roped into the national side. He played 11 matches across formats before being left out of the selectors’ plans. Iyer last appeared for India in a T20I against Sri Lanka in February 2022.
