Pakistan batters couldn’t get going against India in their second match of the Asia Cup 2025. Salman Agha won the toss and elected to bat first, but his teammates couldn’t justify the decision as the wickets fell at regular intervals.
Sahibzada Farhan was the top scorer for Pakistan, amassing 40 runs off 44 balls, laced with 3 sixes and 1 four.
Five batters were dismissed for single-digit scores. Saim Ayub (0), Mohammad Haris (3), Agha (3), Hasan Nawaz (5) and Mohammad Nawaz (5) were disappointed.
Fakhar Zaman (17) and Faheen Ashraf (11) stayed in the middle for some time but couldn’t carry on. It was Shaheen Afridi’s hitting that took the Men in Green to 127/9 in 20 overs. He accumulated an unbeaten 33 runs off 16 balls, laced with 4 sixes.
Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel sent back two batters each.
