In the second Youth Test match between India and Australia Under-19 teams, India produced an impressive performance to secure the win. The game took place at the Great Barrier Reef Arena, Mackay, from 7 to 10 October. This triumph marked India’s sixth Youth Test victory against Australia, a record unmatched by any other nation. England Under-19s hold the second place with five wins.

In the first innings, the hosts scored 135 runs, thanks to Alex Lee Young’s 66 runs from 108 balls. The other batters failed to add much to the total. For India, Khilan Patel and Henil Patel led the way with the ball, picking up three wickets each.

Udhav Mohan claimed a couple of wickets, while Deepesh Devendran added one. When India U19 took to the crease, they amassed 171 runs in the first innings. Deepesh Devendran topped the scoreboard with 28 runs, followed by Khilan Patel’s 26, Henil Patel’s 22, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 20 runs.

Australia’s second innings began poorly as Simon Budge and Zed Hollick both fell without scoring. Alex Turner contributed a modest 10 runs before getting out. Alex Lee Young was the highest scorer with 38 runs, helping Australia reach 116. This left India needing 81 runs to claim victory.

Vihaan Malhotra scored 21 runs as India began their pursuit, while Vedant Trivedi stayed not out on 33. Their combined efforts helped India chase down the target and secure a seven-wicket win.
