India have a big pool of talent in international cricket. Many players are not getting regular or enough chances to showcase their talent because of the competition for places.
There is a chance of seeing two Indian teams playing together in one country, according to the BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
“We are going in a direction where we will have two national teams ready at the same time – playing white-ball & red ball in different countries simultaneously.”
The national team has encountered a similar situation in the past. When Virat Kohli-led India were in England for a Test series, Shikhar Dhawan captained another team to play white-ball matches in Sri Lanka.
Even on the upcoming tour of England, one of the teams would be taking on Ireland while the Rohit Sharma-led squad plays the Ben Stokes’ men.
