Former Indian pacer RP Singh has raised questions over the decision to rest captain Rohit Sharma for the five-match T20Is against South Africa.

Sri Lanka have won the toss and have decided to bat first in the third and final T20I against India at Dharamshala. The home team has made four changes from the last game. Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal have been replaced by RavI Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj.

“We wanted to bowl first. Every opportunity counts. We have made four changes as we didn’t want to take a chance. Kishan. Bumrah, Bhuvi, Yuzi – all are rested. Bishnoi, Kuldeep, Avesh and Siraj come in,” said Rohit Sharma.

Rohit Sharma has become the most capped player in the history of men’s T20Is. He is playing in his 125th match.

Vandersay and Liyanage are back for the visitors. They have replaced Jayawickrama and Mishara.
