Ian Chappell said India lost the third Test against Australia because there is no Rishabh Pant in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Pant was involved in a fatal car accident and was operated on to fix the knee ligaments. The wicket-keeper batter will be out for a long time.
KS Bharat has replaced Pant, but he hasn’t been impactful with the bat.
“One of the big differences is that there is no Rishabh Pant in this Indian side. They have started to see how important Risbah Pant is to the Indian team,” said Chappell.
Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria also had the same opinion and said that Pant wouldn’t have allowed the Australian spinners to dictate the terms.
