India suffered first defeat in 30 years at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. The hosts thumped the visitors by 7 wickets on Day 4 of the second Test match. In the previous five matches, India have won 2 while three ended in a draw.

The Proteas were comfortable during the chase, with skipper Dean Elgar scoring an unbeaten 96 runs. Rassie van der Dussen (40), Aiden Markram (31), Keegan Petersen (28) and Temba Bavuma (23 not out) also played important knocks.

Earlier, India were dismissed for 202 and 266 in their two innings. South Africa scored 229 and 243/3 to secure an easy win.
