India registered a rare record when Shreyas Iyer was out hit-wicket in the second T20I against New Zealand. The batter was looking comfortable before his unfortunate dismissal.

He scored 13 off 19 balls, laced with a four and six. India became the first team to have a player dismissed hit wicket in back-to-back T20I matches.

Earlier, Hardik Pandya was dismissed in a similar fashion during the semi-final clash against England in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Pandya lost his wicket on the last ball of India’s innings at the Adelaide Oval. He accumulated 63 runs before disturbing the stumps.

England thumped the Men in Blue by 10 wickets and went on to beat Pakistan in the final to lift the trophy.
