India have announced the Women’s ODI World Cup squad and the three-match ODI series against Australia.
Renuka Singh has been recalled after recovering from a stress fracture. There was no place for Shafali Verma, whose last ODI was against New Zealand in October.
Yastika Bhatia is the back opener. All-rounder Amanjot Kaur has been rested for the Australia ODI series. Sayali Satghare will play in the bilateral matches against the Aussies but will be in the squad for the global tournament.
The Women in Blue will start their World Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on September 30, with the match against Pakistan scheduled on October 5. They will clash with England and New Zealand on September 25 and 27, respectively.
