India and Pakistan received good news ahead of Asia Cup 2022. Both the teams have closed in the gaps on the top-two ranked New Zealand and England teams in the ODIs.
India defeated Zimbabwe, while Pakistan came on top in the Netherlands.
India improved their ODI ranking to 111 rating points and are placed third, while Pakistan accumulated 107 rating points to get to the fourth spot.
New Zealand thumped the West Indies 2-1 and have 124 rating points. On the other hand, England are second with 119 rating points.
India can cut the lead further in the ODI rankings when they play South Africa for three ODIs at the start of October. Pakistan have no ODI series lime-up before the ICC T20 World Cup.
