Meanwhile, JioHotstar shattered previous viewership records, signaling a turning point for women’s cricket and sports broadcasting in the country.

A record-shattering 185 million viewers tuned in on JioHotstar for the World Cup final, equaling the viewership of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 title clash and outstripping the IPL’s daily average reach. The tournament overall touched 446 million fans, a groundbreaking high for women’s cricket and a clear indicator of the sport’s surging appeal.

The championship clash reached a peak of 21 million viewers, as Harmanpreet Kaur’s India sealed a monumental triumph, emerging as the first Asian side to capture the ICC Women’s World Cup.

Another record tumbled as 92 million people tuned in on Connected TV, equating the viewership of the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup and 2023 Men’s ODI World Cup finals. The surge signals a paradigm shift in India’s cricket consumption, with fans gravitating towards digital, big-screen viewing like never before.
