The Proteas were magnificent with the ball and didn’t allow the rivals to settle down on the second day of the contest. The sub-continent team started the proceedings on 37/1, but after the dismissal of KL Rahul and Washington Sundar, the remaining batters failed to get going. Simon Harmer was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 wickets, while Marco Jansen added three scalps to his bowling figures.

Keshav Maharaj and Corbin Bosch picked up one wicket each. For India, Rahul was the top run-getter, amassing 39 runs, with the help of 4 boundaries and 1 six.
