After his fabulous home series against New Zealand, Mayank Agarwal has failed to perform in the ongoing series in South Africa. In his last 14 innings in away red-ball matches, Mayank Agarwal has scored just one half-century, the 60 he made against South Africa in Centurion.
Former India pacer Ajit Agarkar feels Mayank has failed to cement his place in the Playing XI. He reckons the 30-year-old batter has certain technical errors which will be exposed by bowlers on tracks helpful for fast bowling.
“He has wasted a chance and his technical faults will get more exposed , especially, in overseas conditions.”
Agarkar further added that Agarwal is not getting regular chances on overseas tours, which has impacted his batting.
