Saba Karim feels Rishabh Pant’s career could end if he continues to face criticism. He was indirectly referring to former players Sunil Gavaskar, Aakash Chopra, and many others, who went after the young Indian wicket-keeper batter following his rash shot in the second Test match. Karim further added that Pant has the talent to become the best keeper-batter ever for India in Test cricket.
Pant scored an unbeaten 100 runs in the second innings to help India to set a target of 212 runs.
“If he is handled properly, he will emerge as the greatest Indan wicket-keeper in red-ball cricket. But, we might lose him if we don’t stop criticizing. He will be India’s biggest match-winner, but if the former players and fans want him to get dropped, it will not benefit the player and the team,” he said.
