Shreyas Iyer’s long wait for Test debut will end during the upcoming Test series between India and New Zealand. According to Inside Sport, the right-handed batter is expected to represent India in the first Test in Kanpur.
The right-handed batter has played 54 first-class matches in his career and has amassed 4592 runs at an average of 52.18. He has 12 hundred and 23 fifties to his name.
Iyer was recently a part of the T20I series against the visiting Kiwi team. He scored just 5 in the opening game in Jaipur while he didn’t bat in the second match in Ranchi. The 26-year old scored 25 in the final T20I of the series in Kolkata, and India defeated New Zealand by a margin of 3-0.
