Australia defeated India by 4 wickets in the second T20I, with Josh Hazlewood getting the Player of the Match for taking three wickets. He demolished the rivals’ top order, and there was no stopping the Aussies from there on. The Men in Blue were dismissed for 125 runs in 18.4 overs while the hosts completed the chase in 13.2 overs.
Hazlewood was pleased with his performance and revealed the reason behind his success.
“The ball is coming out nicely from the hand at the moment, no matter what format I am playing. I am just trying to put the ball in the right areas and let the ball do its job. Everything is in a good place and ready to go for the Ashes,” Josh Hazlewood said.
“There is no better place to learn than Melbourne. Nathan Ellis has been doing his job and is bowling tough overs. We will have a lot of fast bowlers fighting for places soon. I will head home tomorrow and will prepare for the Shield Game and then head to Perth for the first Ashes Test,” he added.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma was the top run-getter for the visitors, posting 68 runs off 37 balls. For Australia, captain Mitchell Marsh accumulated 46 runs.
