Umran Malik has caught the attention of cricketers and experts with his raw pace in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. The 21-year-old Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer has breached the 150 kmph mark on a couple of occasions and the batters have found it difficult to face his deliveries.
Virat Kohli, the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, feels it is nice to see a pacer bowling at a speed of 150 kmph. The RCB skipper also added that it is important to track the progress of special talent like Malik.
“This tournament throws up talent every year, good to see a guy bowling at 150 clicks. It is important to understand the progress of individuals from here on,” said Virat Kohli after the match between RCB and SRH.
Virat Kohli was happy to see a strong pool of Indian fast bowlers.
“The pool of fast bowlers being strong is always a good sign for Indian cricket and whenever you see talent like this, you are going to have your eyes on them and make sure you maximise their potential which is already being seen at the IPL level,” concluded Virat Kohli.
