Shubman Gill is the prince of Indian cricket and is leading Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2024. He has never hidden his admiration for Virat Kohli, whom he has long followed.
Gill spoke about the important suggestion he got from the legendary cricketer.
“I spoke to him for the first time when I went to New Zealand with the Indian team. He told me that people say that a new player needs a few chances. He needs some innings to get into the groove.
“But you can start from the first innings if you are good and capable. You can score a hundred in your first innings. Virat is a positive guy, and I liked what he told me.
“He saw capability in me and told that I should give my best whenever I get a chance and and take things as they come,” Shubman Gill said on Star Sports.
Gill and Virat will play against each other when Gujarat Titans take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 28.
