Virat Kohli and Siraj suffered a slump in recent ICC rankings

The ICC, on Tuesday night, updated their weekly ranking charts. This week, several Indian players saw a big rise after handing Sri Lanka a thumping 3-0 defeat.

Virat Kohli, who scored two centuries in the three-match series, saw a major rise as he jumped four spots to rank 4th on the list. Virat closed the gap between him and Babar and is eyeing the top spot once again.

Babar Azam is on top with 887 points, while Kohli is fourth with 750 points.

Another Indian star to see a big rise is Shubman Gill. The 23-year-old, who scored his first ODI hundred on home soil, jumped ten spots and has taken the 26th position in the rankings.

For the bowlers, Mohammed Siraj, who had a great series, picked up nine wickets in three matches and got heavily rewarded in the latest rankings.

Siraj moved 13 spots to rank 3rd on the list with 685 points. Siraj is just behind Josh Hazlewood and Trent Boult and is eying to become the number 1 ODI bowler.

Further, Kuldeep Yadav also saw a rise of five ranks and currently sits in the 21st position.
