The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced its ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year. Jos Buttler and Mohammad Rizwan were included as the openers. While Rizwan was the highest run-getter (1326 runs in only 29 matches) in the game’s shortest format last year, Jos Buttler scored 589 runs in 14 matches at 65.44 with one century.
Babar Azam has been allotted captain’s armband and will bat at the number 3 slot. He played 29 matches and aggregated 939 runs at an average of 37.56
Aiden Markram ( 570 runs at 43.84 ) and Mitchell Marsh ( 627 runs, 8 wickets) are part of the middle order. South Africa star player David Miller (377 runs at 47.12) has made it to the team.
Wanindu Hasaranga, who took 36 T20I wickets in 2021, is kept in the XI.
Tabraiz Shamsi ( 36 wickets), Josh Hazlewood ( 23 wickets), Shaheen Afridi ( 23 wickets), and Mustafizur Rahman ( 28 wickets) are the bowlers.
