Former Pakistan player Shoaib Akhtar is surprised that Babar Azam went unsold the Hundred, the famous league in England. Despite Babar’s sensational performances in white-ball cricket, none of the teams added Babar to their squads.

England’s legendary fast bowler James Anderson had also expressed a similar opinion. Anderson said he would have spent the entire budget on Babar if the command of any team was in his hand.

“It is surprising that Babar Azam went unsold in the draft. I would have spent the entire amount on him if things were in my hand. I think the availability issue for the white tournament is behind the move,” he had said.

Reacting to his statement, Akhtar wrote: “I agree with @jimmy9 . I would have done the same. I really wonder why the best T20 player in the world went unsold at The Hundred.”
