Dom Bess
England's right-arm off-break bowler Dom Bess revealed that he also wishes to pick the wicket of Virat Kohli in the ongoing series.

Dom Bess is currently featuring in the ongoing first Test of the four-match Test series against India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The spinner is backed with massive confidence as he is coming after a stunning outing in the recently-concluded two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Team India skipper Virat Kohli is arguably the best batsman in the world, at present. Taking his wicket is no less than a dream for a lot of bowlers, especially youngsters. Bess is no different as he also wishes to pick the Indian skipper in the ongoing series.

Bess, on being asked about his reaction after picking Kohli’s wicket, replied: “I will go loony, be running off!”

The 23-year-old was also asked about the best and the worst football player in the England team. While picking the best, he was confused between the wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes. Bess picked Matt Parkinson as the worst footballer in the ‘Three Lions’ squad.

“Either Jos Buttler or Chris Woakes but I have to pick Buttler. Once he gets into it, he can get aggressive. There are a couple. Matt Parkinson is the worst,” the right-arm off-break bowler told TalkSport.

Bess was also asked about the king of the WhatsApp group. He answered: “Currently, it’s Stokesy as he had to sort out the wifi for all of the lads. Some memes, not much cricket talk in the quarantine.”

Dom Bess had picked five wickets in the first innings followed by three wickets in the second innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka. In the second Test, he had picked up a four-wicket haul in the second innings as England registered a comprehensive victory in the series by 2-0.

So far, Bess has represented England in 12 Test matches, scalping a whopping 31 wickets at an economy of 2.80 and average of 33.1.
