Pakistan had a mixed season last year, as the Babar Azam-led side reached the finals of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup but failed to win a solitary trophy.
Talking about the T20 World Cup, the Men in Green started on a low but still made it to the finals. Despite the heartbreaking loss, there were a few positives, one being Mohammad Haris.
The 22-year-old top-order keeper-batter, who got an opportunity late in the tournament, took the world by storm after his explosive batting in the World Cup. Since the prestigious tournament, Haris has played fourteen games across the white-ball tournament and is yet to score fifty-plus score.
In recent events, Haris opened up on his desire to play Test cricket and remarked about Rishabh Pant and Adam Gilchrist, the two cricketers he wants to replicate in three formats.
“I want to represent Pakistan in all three formats. My aggressive style of batting is not only suited for just T20Is. Look at Rishabh Pant, he does the same. Even Adam Gilchrist used to play aggressively in Tests.”
Further, Haris stated that he intends to be more patient and add singles to his style of play.
“I can hit fours and sixes. But I also need to add singles and doubles to my game.”
