Virat Kohli and Steve Smith share a close bond. The two admire each other a lot and have often made statement about their friendship.
Dinesh Karthik, who knows both Virat and Smith, recently shared an interesting story about them.
He saw Smith with Virat Kohli’s bat in the WTC Final between India and Australia.
“I met Steve Smith during the WTC final & saw Virat Kohli written on his bat. Smith told me that he has been playing with Virat Kohli’s bat for some time now. Smith further said that for the Ashes he was waiting for Virat Kohli to send another bat,” Dinesh Karthik said on Cricbuzz.
Virat and Smith were at loggerheads before 2019. However, Kohli was seen urging the Indian fans to cheer for Smith instead of targeting him for his involvement in the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa. Since then, the two have become good friends.
