The 33-year-old will make a return to the Asia Cup 2022.

Former Pakistan skipper and one of the legends of the game, Shahid Afridi, is watching the ongoing final of the ICC T20 World Cup. He took to Twitter to wish good luck to both Australia and New Zealand.

“Looking forward to the final, had hoped to see Pakistan play today! All the best to both Australia and New Zealand, may the best team win. I am here to support cricket in what has been a wonderful tournament which was enjoyed by fans all around the world,” he wrote.

Earlier, Pakistan lost to Australia in the semi-final of the ICC tournament. The Men in Green were leading at one stage but the onslaught by Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis stunned the Babar Azam-led team. Australia won the game by 5 wickets to make it to their second final of the T20 World Cup. They had qualified for the finale in 2010 but the Men in Yellow were thumped by England.
