Shahid Afridi
He wants Shahid Afridi to show the way to the national team after the debacle.

Former captain Shahid Afridi is worried about Pakistan’s scoring rate in T20Is. Speaking to ICC in an interview, Afridi has said that Pakistan haven’t been scoring runs at a brisk pace in the middle overs. The Men in Green don’t score quick runs under the captaincy of Babar Azam. However, their bowling has managed to win matches despite below-par totals.

“The strike rate of our batters is not upto the mark in the seven to thirteen over phase,” Afridi stated.

He said that there is a need to score runs at a rate of eight to nine runs per over in that phase while still backing Pakistan to make it to the final.

“I feel Pakistan should make the final as the conditions in the West Indies and the USA will suit our team,” he added.

Shahid is backing Babar Azam to perform well. “I would pick Babar Azam as he is the leader. I want him to perform and take correct decisions,” he concluded.

Pakistan are grouped with India, Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts USA in Group A.
