BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been a part of several controversies in recent times.

It has been a week since Virat Kohli disclosed that Sourav Ganguly didn’t urge him to continue as a T20I skipper as claimed by the BCCI President.

However, former India all-rounder Kirti Azad, who served as a selector when a tiff between Sourav Ganguly and Greg Chapell broke out, leading to the removal of the then skipper, has once again opined on the matter.

While Azad has no issue with BCCI’s call, he feels Ganguly, as a BCCI President, should have properly handled the sacking.

“I defended him when Cha[ppel was India’s coach and Souarv should have learnt from his own expereince and spoke to Virat muc h earlier. I aam not saying to treat the 33-year old diofferently but he is specoil player,” he said.

Azad reckons the entire matter should not have come out in the open as it tarnished the image of Indian cricket.
