Rohit Sharma said that he would have batted anyways and knows the strengths and weaknesses of the rivals.

Suryakumar Yadav is a man on a mission in international cricket. On Sunday, the middle-order batter played another sensational knock in the second T20I against South Africa in Guwahati.

His 22-ball 66 runs were laced with 5 fours and five sixes. After the opening partnership of 96 runs between KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar and Virat Kohli added 102 runs to take the hosts to 237/3.

Suryakumar’s form is the best news for the Rohit Sharma-led team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Rohit knows about the importance of SKY’s batting. After the match, Harsha Bhogle asked the India captain, “How do you keep Surya’s form together? The form he is in… just protect it. How do you hold it together?”

Rohit came up with an impressive answer. “Just thinking not to play Surakumar Yadav before October 23 against Pakistan. He is somebody who wants to play every match. That’s what keeps him happy and I want to keep him happy,” he said.

Suryakumar has hit back-to-back fifties against South Africa.
