Mayank was dismissed in the 41st over as Lungi Ngidi managed to trap him in front of the stumps.

After Virat Kohli won the toss in the first Test between India and South Africa, the duo of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal stitched an important partnership for the visitors. While Mayank played his shots freely, Rahul took his time to open up.

Rahul and Mayank added 117 runs for the first wicket joined the list of Indian openers to muster a 100-run partnership in South Africa.

Mayank was dismissed in the 41st over as Lungi Ngidi managed to trap him in front of the stumps. The ball hit the top of the leg stump, and it looked like it was going down the leg side.

The cricket experts were not convinced with the ball tracking. When Mayank was asked about his opinion during the press conference, he refused to speak. “I am not allowed to give my opinion, so I want to leave it. Otherwise, I will be in bad books and my money (match fee) could be docked.”

Meanwhile, KL Rahul continued his good form and was unbeaten on 122 at the end of day one. Ajinkya Rahane was with him, who accumulated 40 not-out. At the end of the day’s play, India had put 272 runs for the loss of three wickets.
