Australia white-ball captain Aaron Finch joked about the visitors being relieved that they would be away from bowling to Babar Azam for a long duration of time. Australia finished their historic tour of Pakistan with a three-wicket win in the only T20I.
Finch scored 55 and anchored Australia to 163-7 with five balls to spare as Ben McDermott hit Haris Rauf for a boundary.
Nathan Ellis took 4 wickets which restricted Pakistan to 162-8 after Babar Azam struck 66 off 46 balls.
The Pakistan skipper had scored 390 runs in the 3-Test series, followed it up with 276 runs in the ODI series.
“We were happy to restrict them. Babar and Mohammad Rizwan can be dangerous in this format of the game. Anything under 180 we were happy and Cameron Green turned it around with important wickets. Glad that we don’t have to bowl to Babar anymore,” he said.
