Yuzvendra Chahal is likely to play for a new franchise in IPL 2022. The 31-year old was not retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Despite ending his association with the Bangalore based team, he shares a close bond with Virat Kohli, who stepped down from captaincy after the 14th season of the tournament.
RCB and Virat have been instrumental in Chahal’s rise as a bowler in cricket. Yuzi recently had a conversation with R Ashwin on Kohli and his former franchise’s contribution.
“That really gives you a lot of confidence especially when it comes from a big player like him (Virat Kohli) who is also the captain backs you in every situation,” he said.
“In some matches, when I gave away runs he (Virat Kohli) used to run from the boundary line just to tell me “No problem, you keep bowling. I know you can come back stronger,” he added.
He heaped massive praise on RCB for giving him a platform to showcase his talent.
