MS Dhoni is the greatest Indian finisher in cricket. The 42-year-old is still winning games for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2024. Dinesh Karthik, Ashutosh Sharma, Abdul Samad are among the top finishers in the 17th season. However, Rinku Singh is ahead of others on the list. Former India players Harbhajan Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu heaped massive praise on the KKR star batter.

“Rinku will become a finisher like MS Dhoni as he bats at a position where more often than not, the southpaw will get opportunities to win games for the franchise and Team India,” Harbhajan Singh said.

Sidhu highlighted Rinku’s calm nature. “I have been saying that Rinku Singh is the second best finisher after MS Dhoni. He will become like Dhoni with exposure to tough conditions. Like Dhoni, he doesn’t take pressure and believe in taking his team to the finishing line,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said.

Rinku hasn’t got enough chances in the ongoing season and the injury is also impacting his performance. The two-time champions are using him as an impact substitute since the last few matches.

In the contest between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens, he accumulated 24 runs off 16 balls before Lockie Ferguson got rid of him.
