Harshal Patel became only the second Indian batter after KL Rahul to be dismissed hit-wicket in a T20I when he hit the stumps with his bat while trying to play a shot during the third and final T20I against New Zealand at Eden Gardens.
He scored 18 off just 11 balls, including a six and two fours before his dismissal in the 19th over of the Indian innings.
Earlier, Rohit won the toss and elected to bat first. He scored a well compiled fifty, his second of the series. His knock of 56 included three sixes and five fours.
An 8-ball 21 from Deepak Chahar took India’s score to 184/7 in 20 overs.
