Senior wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik has lauded Pakistan’s pacer Haris Rauf for his bowling. Karthik is in England for commentary duties and was one of the commentators in the Ashes 2023.
The veteran was last seen in action for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. However, he was pretty ordinary with the bat, and the franchise could release him ahead of IPL 2024.
Returning to Rauf, Karthik said the fast bowler has an inspirational story as he was a tennis ball bowler and then made it to international cricket.
“Haris Rauf is one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world especially in end overs. His story is beautiful with playing tennis ball cricket a few years back and getting picked by Qalandars, then doing so well in international cricket,” he said on SKY Sports.
Haris will play a key role for Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 and the ICC World Cup 2023.
