Hardik Pandya has been a revelation since making his comeback to competitive cricket.

He was down and out after the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021. The 28-year-old was not retained by Mumbai Indians and he event lost his place in the national team.

After months of hard work and dedication, Hardik finally returned to cricket and there was no looking back for the all-rounder.

Pandya opened up on MS Dhoni’s role in his success after the fourth T20I against South Africa. He played a knock of 46 runs, which played a key role in India’s win by 82 runs. Hardik shared a match-winning partnership with Dinesh Karthik, who amassed 55 runs.

“Mahi bhai taught me one lesson when I asked him about handling the pressure. ‘Stop thinking about your score and start focusing on what your team requires’ – that helped me a lot to become a better cricketer.”

After leading Gujarat Titans to IPL 2022 title in their maiden season, Hardik has been appointed Team India’s captain for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland. He will lead the second string side in absence of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah.
