Hardik Pandya is battling fitness issues for long and the all-rounder doesn’t want to play for India until he regains full fitness. He has requested the national selection committee not to consider him for a while as he working on his fitness and returning to full-time bowling.
After his below-par display in the Indian Premier League, a lot of fans had urged the selectors to drop him from the ICC T20 World Cup squad.
However, he managed to retain his place which backfired in the end. Hardik was one of the worst performers in the global event and the management and selectors were slammed for backing him.
Hardik was dropped from the team for the T20I series against New Zealand. His IPL franchise Mumbai Indians have not retained him for the 15th edition of the league in 2022.
Meanwhile, he is currently working hard at the NCA in Bengaluru. He was recently told to report to the National Cricket Academy by the BCCI.
