Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has opened up on the disappointment of being excluded from Team India without giving a reason.

MS Dhoni is regarded as the best Indian captain ever by many cricket experts. He led India to three ICC trophies – T20 World Cup, Fifty-over World Cup and Champions Trophy. Despite being the two-time world champion under MSD, Bhajji feels Sourav Ganguly was better than Dhoni when it comes to captaincy.

“Sourav Ganguly is better Captain than MS Dhoni,” he told Sportskeeda.

The off-spinner was backed by the current BCCI president during his early days in international cricket and many feels Dhoni was successful as a skipper because of the players nurtured by the Prince of Kolkata.

Meanwhile, R Ashwin surpassed Harbhajan to become the third most successful Indian bowler in Test cricket. Bhajji took to Twitter to congratulate his teammate.

“Congratulations @ashwinravi99 wish you many more brother.. God bless.. keep shining,” he wrote.

Ashwin dismissed Tom Latham to take his wicket tally to 418 in the longest format of the game. Harbhajan, who is yet to take retirement from international cricket, has 417 wickets.

Ashwin achieved the landmark in the 80th Test match of his career. Meanwhile, Bhajji has represented India in 103 Tests.
