Hardik Pandya have returned to the squad after a successful IPL campaign.

Team India is practicing at the Arun Jaitley stadium for the first T20Is against the Proteas. In the absence of key players, young prospects have made it to the team. Experienced players like Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya have returned to the squad after a successful IPL campaign.

The Indian team has been sweating out in Delhi. Hardik, who didn’t join the team on the first day, has finally reunited with his teammates. Even Yuzvendra Chahal has arrived. The two were given extra time, considering their involvement in the final of IPL 2022.

Pandya was seen putting extra effort into the training.

Pandya started his training by stretching and a few laps of jogging, followed by sprints. Then, he repeated the process before heading to the nets.

Under the guidance of fielding coach Paras Mhambrey, he hit the deck nonstop for about 40 minutes. Pandya hasn’t bowled a lot in international cricket since his back surgery.

Hardik arguably is India’s best all-rounder currently, and head coach Rahul Dravid also seems to agree. “It is very pleasing to have someone like him (Hardik Pandya) back. He is a fantastic cricketer with both bat and ball. We have seen what he is capable of in white-ball cricket in the past. The biggest thing is that he has started bowling again from our perspective. You know what that does to us, what depth it brings to the side.”

After bowing a long spell in training, Pandya was involved in fielding drills followed by a post-training warm-up, including running, sprinting, and stretching.
