Siraj is expected to recover from his injury before the first match in Kanpur.

Mohammed Siraj, who got injured in the first T20I against New Zealand, went on to miss the next two matches of the series. There were doubts about his participation in a two-match Test series against the Kane Williamson-led team.

However, according to The Telegraph, Siraj is expected to recover from his injury before the first match in Kanpur. The pacer got a web split on his left hand while trying to stop the ball during the final over of the New Zealand innings in the first game.

Siraj has been phenomenal in red-ball cricket since making his debut in Australia. He played a key role in India’s Test victory Down Under and was impressive in England. With Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah missing from the Test squad, he is expected to lead the bowling lineup.
