Glenn Maxwell, who will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2023, has given a major update on his complete recovery from a freak injury.
He was out of action for months before returning for the ODI series between India and Australia. Speaking on his injury, Maxwell, in a video posted by RCB on social media, said that he would still require months to be 100 percent fit, but remains hopeful that he can play all the matches in the tournament.
“My leg is ok. However, it will take months before I am 100 percent fit. I am hopeful that my leg will not trouble me during IPL 2023,” he said.
The slam-bang league is back to its original home-and-away format after a gap of two years. Maxwell is excited to play at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
“I am pumped up to play in front of our home fans after a long time,” he added.
He scored 301 runs and took 6 wickets in 13 games last season.
