On Firday, December 30, former Indian cricket team opener, Gautam Gambhir, did a Q& A session on Twitter where he answered fierry questions from the fans. During that session, a fan asked Gambhir why he makes such controversial statements. The fan posted, “Why do you always make controversial statements? #AskGG”. In response, Gambhir answered in his usual blunt style.
Notably, Gambhir is often surrounded by controversies be it on the pitch or off-pitch. Nonetheless, Gautam stated that he speaks from his heart and does not think of falling into a controversy.
“I say what I feel. You should think who benefits from the controversies!” he remarked. Earlier, on the question, “Biggest threat to India In T20 World Cup?”, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir gave interesting replies.
Gambhir was a part of two major controversies this year. Firstly, he made it to the news after his altercation with Virat Kohli during IPL 2023. It occurred when LSG hosted RCB and when the players were greeting each other after the match was over, Virat & Gambhir hurled a few words at each other following which they both served penalties.
