Virat Kohli’s resignation from Test captaincy has shocked many. The debate over who should be India’s new Test captain is hogging the limelight. According to Gautam Gambhir, Virat has left the Test team in good condition, but he can’t say the same thing about the white-ball teams.
“I think Virat has left the Test team in good condition, but in limited-overs cricket, I want to see a more settled middle-order which Virat couldn’t create,” Gambhir wrote in his column for Times of India.
Gambhir feels Rohit Sharma should be India’s Test skipper too. “In my book, Rohit Sharma should lead India across formats with KL Rahul as his deputy. One skipper in all the formats will help the team in the long run,” he asserted.
