Gautam Gambhir comes down hard on Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid for their nonsense statements
He feels the T20 format is bowlers oriented as they have 24 balls to have an impact as batters are constantly under pressure.

Gautam Gambhir has come out in support of Rohit Sharma and his captaincy. Former players like Sunil Gavaskar, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina have spoken in favor of Rishabh Pant. Gavaskar feels Rohit is injury-prone, and going ahead with him could disturb the team’s momentum if he is ruled out of the future Test matches. His age, 35 years, is also being touted as another reason to keep him away from a leadership role in red-ball cricket.

However, Gambhir wants the veteran to lead the team in all game formats. “Rohit Sharma should lead India across all formats. One captain across formats will ensure consistency in style and approach of the Indian team, especially considering that we’ve another T20 World Cup later this year,” he told TOI.
