New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips can do anything. When he is on the ground, he contributes with the bat, ball and in the fielding department. He is one of the best fielders in the history of cricket and has taken brilliant catches across formats in international cricket. Phillips can also play as a wicket-keeper batter, and he recently showed his skills inside the cockpit.
He landed a light aircraft on March 17 and shared a post on social media. Phillips wants to obtain a commercial pilot’s licence. He also interacted with the students and the instructors at the flying school.
He loves flying and revealed that if he had money, he would have entered the aviation sector rather than playing cricket. The attacking batter mentioned that becoming a pilot would be his priority after cricket.
“It is my passion. If I had money, I would have become a pilot. I love being in the aircraft,” Phillips said.
“I like to go into the mountains as there is no need to work, which allows me to enjoy all my hobbies. If I am given an option, becoming a pilot would be my first choice,” he added.
