Virat Kohli's wait for a century in international cricket extended when Rachin Ravindra dismissed him in the second innings.

Former India cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad has given his opinion on Virat Kohli’s failure across formats. The Indian Test and ODI skipper is going through a lean patch in his career and last scored a century in 2019.

He recently led India to a win in the second and final Test against New Zealand in Mumbai. However, he couldn’t contribute as a batter and scored 0, 36 in the two innings.

Gaekwad, who represented India in 40 Tests, revealed the main reason behind Virat’s ordinary display.

“It’s just that you go overboard with your confidence etc, and you develop certain habits, as an outcome of which you are nowhere. Virat is very impulsive; he is not like Sunil or Jimmy. He wants to get going. But how to get going, he doesn’t know. That’s where the batting coach comes into the picture. Either Virat is trying to be defensive or aggressive. There is nothing in between. That’s Virat’s problem,” he was quoted by News18.
