Virat Kohli's siblings Vikas Kohli and Bhawna Dhingra have reacted to his decision to step down from India's Test captaincy.

Farokh Engineer is not concerned about Virat Kohli’s poor form in international cricket. He stated that the Indian skipper is a human and he is bound to fail in some matches.

The India captain got out for a duck in the first Test but scored 42 and 20 in the second Test match against England.

Kohli has not scored a hundred in international cricket since his three-figure score in the day-night Test against Bangladesh in 2019. In the 10 Test matches since 2020, the right-handed batsman has accumulated 407 runs at an average of 23.94.

“Well, a player of Virat Kohli’s calibre, every time he walks onto the pitch, we expect a hundred from him. Virat is human after all. We human beings make mistakes. There is a lot of elements of luck also when you play and miss. You either miss or get an edge. Unfortunately, he has been getting the nicks and getting caught out.

“I wouldn’t blame him. He is still a great player. And he doesn’t go down in my opinion. He is still getting 40s and 50s. He is a class player.”
