Fakhar Zaman, PSL
Rashid Latif has revealed that Fakhar Zaman won't be part of the team's T20 World Cup squad due to a knee injury.

Pakistan and Lahore Qalandars batsman Fakhar Zaman wants to play alongside former South Africa captain AB de Villiers in the PSL.

The sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League, which was suspended due to multiple COVID-19 cases within the bio-secure bubble, is all set to resume from June 9 in Abu Dhabi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board recently confirmed the schedule for the remainder of the T20 league.

Meanwhile, in his latest interview with Cricket Pakistan, Zaman was asked to name one player he would love to play alongside in the PSL.

At this, the 31-year-old instantly took De Villiers’ name.

Heaping praise on Mr 360, Fakhar Zaman said: “From the very start, I am a very big fan of AB de Villiers. I follow him a lot. He did represent Lahore Qalandars, but did not play a lot of matches.

“So if you ask me about one player, I want him to play for Lahore Qalandars.”

Notably, De Villiers played seven matches for Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2019. He scored 218 runs at a strike rate of 128.99 before being ruled out of the remainder of the season due to a back injury.

The 37-year-old is currently spending quality time with his family following the suspension of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

The RCB stalwart played seven games and notched up 207 runs at an average of 51.75 and a strike rate of 164.28.
