Former player Madan Lal blamed Pakistan for Bangladesh’s stance on the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. According to him, both countries are working together to bring India down. The Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that they will boycott the global tournament and won’t send the team to India for the matches.
Bangladesh want their matches to be shifted from India to Sri Lanka, citing security concerns, which the ICC denied. Following this, Bangladesh decided to opt out of the World Cup. Madan Lal called it a foolish call from Bangladesh to skip the tournament.
“It is foolish as India is not going to lose anything. Bangladesh is going to suffer heavy losses by not participating in the tournament. I think Pakistan is playing a role in Bangladesh’s stance. They want to bring India down,” he told India Today.
